The EJA network of community legal centres practising social security law just celebrated its 30th birthday. Bill Mitchell, OAM, who’s Principal Solicitor at Townsville Community Law, has been part of the network since close to the beginning. In his impassioned speech to our membership at our recent annual conference he made a compelling case for ensuring that we don’t lose sight of the fact that economic justice is a fundamental human right.
